Mama Mia – what a weekend it was! In a brand new location – unknown to most – with brand new trials and tribulations, Rodrigo and the Matcoma team attracted over 10,000 visitors from all over Sweden to the 2023 Swedish Street Food Awards. Brilliant sun, volleyball, children’s activities, a MAGIC atmosphere, DJs and the very best of Swedish street food made this one UNFORGETTABLE weekend.

But this wasn’t just a food festival. There was a competition baked in. And, as the Swedes have taught us, the winner takes it all. Although Abba didn’t actually realise that TWO winners actually go through to the European Street Food Awards final from each country. So….a huge CONGRATULATIONS to our Champions – Casey’s Fish and Chips – and our People’s Choice – PapaPiada.

Both now head to Germany to represent Sweden in the European final on September 29-October 1. Best of luck!
