Swedish Style

It was a great weekend in Hyllie. The sun was shining, the beer was local and the hygge was world class. With 10 food trucks serving up everything you could possibly want to eat, the 2025 Swedish Street Food Awards were a challenge. But with all the finalists offering half portions, people were able to work their way round without tapping out after round one.

The winner? Nennnas food truck, who are obsessive about using Swedish ingredients – and organic wherever possible. The flour for their winning langos flatbreads comes from a local mill in Limbacia. And the chanterelles (served with roasted garlic cream, spring onions, peanut butter chips with brown butter) are hand-picked by the team themselves.

The People’s Choice went to the amazing Chicken Shiit Food Truck. But, like the judges said, Nennas’ holistic and sustainable thinking about raw materials “delivered a real wow experience.” Helena from Nennas was wowed too. “I have wanted this soooo bad. Really felt it all over the body. To stand there and hear our name being called – it was MAGICAL”. Now it’s off the Munich for the finals of the 2025 European Street Food Awards. Wow indeed!
