It’s Slovakia!

2024 was the year that Slovakia ruled over Europe, after Miki took home the title of Champion at the European Street Food Awards. But what about 2025? At the Kosice Street Food Festival, parked up in front of Kino Usmev, the jury chose Manno as the new champion of Slovakia. And oh, that confit beef rib.

“We’re grateful and proud to get the title of Champion in the Slovakian Street Food Awards” say Team Manno. “It’s a big journey for us and this weekend in Kosice had everything – an exceptional atmosphere, great tastes and a community that makes street food what it is.”

Smokey Street Food took the People’s Choice – for a second time in a row – with a menu that was all about USDA prime brisket and BBQ pulled pork. “We smoke using the “low and slow” technique. That’s why our meat is full of flavour and tender at the same time.”

Their best-selling dish was a Liptauer Käsesandwich with BBQ pulled pork served with a local bread called Zemlinsky kolac – a gingerbread cake. “What a fantastic feedback we had” says Tomas. “And the same menu will be in Munich this October :)”
