Latvia For The Win!

What a weekend at the historic Agenskalna Tirgus in Riga. Thank you Street Food Latvia! After three days (and nights) of voting, this year’s winners have been selected. The award for the widest smile at the 2023 Latvian Street Food Awards goes to new Champions of Latvia – Augs! And Best Vegetarian went to Bao Bun Latvia. Both will now head to Saarbrucken in Germany for The Big One, hosted on September 29-October 1 by Die Street Food Familie.

The Augs logo is a tiny plant – symbolising a family business with ambition to grow and develop. The plant, in this case, is managed by Ieva the chef and Gatis with the hospitality experience. “The food we prepare could be described as street food with a gourmet twist” says Gatis 🏆🇪🇺🇱🇻 And their high-end menu for Germany will be based on a reimagining of soups quinoa bowls and bao buns. After winning Best Sandwich at the European Street Food Awards back in 2019, when we parked up in Sweden, how will they fare in 2023? In Germany? Book now!
