Polish Eagle Flies High

The results are in! It’s Uwedzonych all the way as the winner of the Polish final of the European Street Food Awards 🔥 and Zlotepaluchy Churros as the People’s Choice 🔥 The two traders will now represent Poland at the grand final of the 2023 European Street Food Awards in Germany, hosted in Saarbrucken September 29-October 1! According to Street Food Polska, who hosted the event at Galeria Kazimierz, “We would like to add that it was probably the most even final in history. Applause for the other finalists – Fuji Sushi by Komar, Highlander Food Truck, and Tandoor Kuchnia Indyjska.

The judges were a mighty bunch, headed by Michał Skoczek, the accomplished columnist and food critic. And the face of Street Food Polska. He was joined by Beata Jankowska, the Director of the wonderful Galeria Kazimierz; Aga Epler, chef, culinary consultant and the blogger behind Lady Kitchen Poland; gastronome Marek Mocny, who runs Bistro u Mocnych in Klucze; and Maciek Ochmanek – owner of The Beef Bros. (Racibórz) food truck. And what a job they had.

The Polish winners will take on the winners from Sweden and Italy – Papa Piada, Casey’s Fish and Chips, Van Ver Burger and Rock Burger Torino. As well as Finland’s returning champion Kusmiku – with the champions from the other countries getting ready to host their heats. Stay tuned…
