Locavore Legends!

The champions of Norway come from Lierne – right on the Norway/Sweden border, northeast of Trøndelag. And they are proud locavores. “Here at Liverten we cultivate local flavours and local products from our home village. We are one of the few food trucks that relies almost exclusively on local ingredients. From our local food-food truck, we serve products from Lierne’s wilderness, such as our popular and famous LiBAB with reindeer meat in a stone oven-baked flatbread, elk burger from Namdal forests and our new elk sausage.”

They are a happy team. And happy to represent Norway when they take on the rest of Europe at the grand finals of the 2022 European Street Food Awards in Munich. “One of the most fun things we do is try new products together, and come up with something we think you as a guest will like. The flavours can either come from our own bakery, or products from one of our many partners, all of whom have strong expertise in their products and are proud to use ingredients from our village. Lierne has left strong traces in us, and what we serve our many guests is an imprint of what nature in Lierne has to offer.
