Viva Italia!

Okay. Third time for Porcobrado – so this can’t be down to luck. Italian champions AGAIN, at the Italian Street Food Awards hosted by Eatinero and Food Mutiny. And another trophy to sit alongside the Best Sandwich they won at the first ever European Street Food Awards – hosted by Bite Club in Berlin back in 2017. Congratulations. And thanks again to Cremona! Eatinero wanted to say a huge thank you for offering up such a special stage for the consecration of Porcobrado as the best food truck in Italy. In the words of Paola, the boss at Eatinero, “Congratulations also to the second place Rock Burger (who also represented Italy at the ESFA grand final in 2019) and the third Fumettoperfetto. We sincerely thank the jury including councillor Barbara Manfredini, Andrea Fontana (owner of Gabbiano 83 in Cremona) and Chef Marcello Ferrarini IL CHEF Diversamente Gourmeat for their availability, commitment and professionalism. We thank the public who participated and voted in the “People’s Choice” category! We thank Richard James Scott Johnson from Food Mutiny, the creator of the  British Street Food Awards, the European Street Food Awards and the USA Street Food Awards. The big European grand final won’t take place again this year because of Covid but thanks to his willpower we haven’t given up believing and still want to be an important part in the history of street food. Thank you!”

The pleasure is all ours Paola, and we look forward to seeing you in 2022 when (hopefully) we’ll be able to get back to a European grand final once again! Well done to Switzerland, Croatia, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Scotland, Iceland, Poland, Wales and Britain for delivering exciting live food events in a pandemic. You rock. Until next year? Ciao!
