Beach, please!

It nearly didn’t happen. Like the rest of the world, Croatia has struggled in its fight against Covid-19. But, finally, the beautiful country is in a position to run live events again. And the first ever Croatian Street Food Awards – at the Food Truck Festival by Zagreb’s Lake Jarun – is a GO. And clearly the press are excited. Very excited.

But at the REAL business end of things, food trucks Barba Q, Poluotok, Loaded and Mrav Loby will present their savoury delights, whilst Pri Suncu and Nada’s fritula will present their sweets. And the visitors to the Festival will vote for their favourites. Trucks will rotate, with new finalists coming in before the winners are announced on September 4. At the opening of the festival, on August 19 at 8pm, Ljetno Kino and DJ Bizzo from the Bolesna braća will perform live, with festivities continuing until September 5.
