Ding Dong!

Putting street food indoors. It seemed like a crazy idea when we first talked about it. Trinity Kitchen in Leeds is now a year old — and it still seems crazy. It involves closing roads in the busy city centre and scissor lifting enormous vans, trucks and trailers onto the first floor of a brand new retail development. It’s a technical headache. And a logistical nightmare. Traders turn up to get lifted in on the Sunday afternoon, and often don’t get the all-clear until the Monday morning. But still they come back for more. Bangwok are in for Christmas (in an amazing line-up that also features Donostia Social Club, Dogtown, Manjit’s Kitchen and Haggis, Haggis). This is the story of Dong’s looooong journey to Leeds.
